Thanks to all of our wonderful entrants to our Tea Cosy Hat competition, there were some terrific entries but there can only be one winner, and our congratulations go to Mrs Carol Patrick, who sent in this wonderful shot of husband Trevor with his ‘More Tea Vicar’ tea cosy. The picture also features a brilliant cameo from Jo the parrot!

We contacted Carol with the good news and here’s what she had to say:

“Jo is one of our two pet african grey parrots. She also loves a little drop of tea, and will pop her head inside a mug when I have finished (I leave her a little).

She is very intelligent and says around 100 different words and phrases, including ‘Do you want a cup of tea?’, or sometimes ‘Would you like tea darling?’.

I ask her if she is going to make tea, and she will answer either Yes or No. (If it was possible, I am sure she would put the kettle on!). Thank you very much, we didnt think we would win, and it’s a lovely surprise.”
